Tag – Tough Elevens!

This is a tough tag as I have to answer eleven questions, and tag eleven people with 11 questions. Anyway, let me do the tag first.

1. Do you remember your first day in school?

Yes. Not the entire day, but going to school. No, I didn’t cry. I was actually excited about going to school.

2. Your favorite song that you hum often?

My favorite songs are different from the ones I hum often. ? . ! . I have been humming this ‘kolaveri di’ song often these days, but it’s not my favorite song. My favorite songs are listed here.

3. Which was your favorite subject in school?

Initially English and later on, Mathematics.

4. Are you happy with yourselves, well most of the time… for what you are today?

Yes. But I feel that I need to work more efficiently.

5. Role model in your life?

Abhimanyu.

6. Have you got the habit of cursing often?

Not often, but rarely. I observe that I have become quite patient these days.

7. What do you do when you are very happy?

It’s very difficult for me to become very happy. It’s equally difficult for me to become very sad. I am slowly getting to realize that there is not much difference between happiness and sadness.

8. Do you believe in God or destiny or luck?

I believe in a version of destiny. I think that actions are in our hands and reactions (results) are not in our hands. Since someone seems to be controlling the reactions/results (sometimes even chain-reactions, which are actions in our perspective), they might be equivalent to God (at least for us). No, I don’t believe in luck. If I get a huge diamond worth many crores, I will not consider myself to be lucky. Instead I will throw it in a place where no one (me included) can access it. I think there are costs to everything that happens to us and every action of ours. There are costs even (and especially)to all the freebies that we receive.

9. Any regrets in life?

Not much. But I would like to meet the God’s controlling our lives (as per the above answer).

10. A sweet memory that you talk about often?

Again, the difference between sweet memories and bitter memories are blurring out, for me. I would like to see both in the same light. Both add to my experiences in life and help me form a better understanding of life.

The price we pay for not being affected much by bitter memories, is (in my opinion) we lose the ability to enjoy sweet memories.

11. Do you think you are a good son, daughter, brother, sister, spouse, parent? Mark yourself, if you can.

No. I am not a good son/brother. I am a good human being, and I need to pay the cost for being one, in our society. One cannot be both.

Ok, coming up with 11 more questions would be very difficult. These questions seem to have been framed quite well. So, I want the following eleven bloggers to answer the same set of questions. I am not tagging people already tagged by Sandhya.

I would like to tag – Kirtivasan, SM, Rahul Aggarwal, Nancy, Kee, My Era, P N Subramanian, Rakesh, Ashwathy, Kanagu, Sujatha Sathya. I know some of the tagged people will never do this tag, but still I am tagging them because I need to get my tag count to 11! πŸ˜‰

PS: I am not going to intimate anyone, as well. Let’s see how many people pick it up.

    regards
    rahul

    1. Rajesh K

My favorite subject was maths till I studied in the CBSE board. When I shifted to state board (11th standard), I started to hate all subjects equally.

Please take up the tag and do it when possible.

aah my apologies…i thought when you said Abhimanyu, you meant someone you know who’s been an inspiration to you in life …my bad

    apologies once again πŸ™

  6. Ashwathy

    2. Kolaveri??? U still aren’t done with it? πŸ˜›

    7. You mean by extremes of emotions?

    9. Me too! πŸ™‚

Pah! U tagged me?? πŸ™„ Just saw this at the end. πŸ™ I m afraid I will forget normal writing and end up doing tags all the time!

    1. Rajesh K

      7. Yes, I meant its difficult for me to get to extremities of emotions. But I also meant the second sentence – there not being much difference between happiness and sadness (at least for me). If you look at both the phenomenon deeply, you’ll notice that misery, sadness and grief teach you a lot (much more than happiness) on the long run. So, it makes one happy, later on. Of course, any human being born on this earth would want to be happy always but that state is impossible to attain. I feel that both happiness and sadness are equally important in our lives.

      9. Ha ha. I don’t mind meeting them after this life either πŸ™‚

I don’t remember you doing any tags recently. So, do this.

      Destination Infinity

      1. Ashwathy

There is also another perspective to this. If you didn’t know sadness, how would you know real happiness? πŸ™‚
It’s all about the yin and yang πŸ™‚

I don’t do tags of any kind but I do like reading tags by others and so enjoyed this one.

Tags always provide a slice of the person with whom we are interacting.

    Have a good week ahead.

    Joy always,
    Susan

    1. Rajesh K

If I knew you liked tags, I would have tagged you too. I was actually searching for people to tag. But, you are on my next-tag radar πŸ™‚

  8. Kirtivasan

Thanks for tagging me DI. But the chain breaks here. Can’t get 11 people.
Good wishes and good health to you.

    1. Rajesh K

You can also answer the questions without tagging others. I mean, why not? When the tag comes to my page, I can change the rules like I want. Ha ha πŸ™‚

  9. My Era

I liked the philosophy behind #7 though I understand it is a very tough state to attain.
It is indeed very important to be a good human being than being good in any other role for it is the core ingredient of everything rest πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€
Thank you for tagging me πŸ™‚

    1. Rajesh K

#7 is a state that can be attained if we are frank with ourselves. I think everyone knows about it, but people choose to be hypocrites! I really wonder if being a good human being matters to anyone at all. But I am sticking to being my natural self, as it matters to me very much.

hey there..I am back! and you have been blogging full on eh?? will be reading and commentating on as many as I can πŸ™‚

    1. Rajesh K

Your last post dates more than a month ago, and you are back? Your travel blog is good, you could have maintained both in the same blog.

  11. Vaish

Where are your 11 questions to the people you tagged??
    Kolaveri song – Same pinch
Abimanyu as rolemodel – that’s great and thoughtful..oops probably intellectual choice!
For 7,8 and 10th Question, you seem to have played safe ;O
    Romba philosophical touch DI!

    1. Rajesh K

It’s the same questions that I got. I like to be unique, that’s why I chose Abhimanyu. For 7,8,10 the replies are true and it reflects my current state of mind. I think having a solid philosophy to guide oneself is very important in life. Otherwise, we lose sight on our vision.

      Destination Infinity

  12. Sandhya

    1. I can imagine you being excited!

    2. Yes, Abhimanyu is a great personality in Mahabharata.
    2. I thought Kolaveri days are over, even for you!

    7. You are becoming a saint at this young age?!

    8. I agree with you, here, D.I. I sort of believe in hard work first and then destiny.

The price we pay for not being affected much by bitter memories, is (in my opinion) we lose the ability to enjoy sweet memories – Yes.

You can try your best to be a good son and brother too, D.I.

    1. Rajesh K

      1. I was excited because someone in my family was already going to school and they had some nice things to say/show-off for themselves πŸ™‚

      7. I am more interested in speaking the truth, especially to myself.

To be a good son and a brother while being a good human being is very difficult. It depends more on people’s expectations around me.

  13. sujatha sathya

it was once again really nice to know about you through these 7 very nice questions – some questions were really tough actually

    1. Rajesh K

11 questions. Yes, some of them were tough to answer!

  14. Sakhi

The best answer of the lot that I liked (and agree to it too) : “No. I am not a good son/brother. I am a good human being, and I need to pay the cost for being one, in our society. One cannot be both.”

P.S. it doesn’t mean I didn’t like others or have problem with any of them πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

    1. Rajesh K

Well that’s the truth of life. Each person is different from one another and people better learn to live up along with differences.

      Destination Infinity

  15. kanagu

This is a tough tag as I have to answer eleven questions, and tag eleven people with 11 questions.

You have avoided the toughest part πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

/*1. Do you remember your first day in school?

    Yes.*/

That is some memory.. πŸ™‚ I remember 1 or 2 moments from my whole LKG πŸ™‚

/*I have been humming this β€˜kolaveri di’ song*/

    You too πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

    /*Role model in your life?

    Abhimanyu.*/

Have to read about him and Mahabharat…

In the last of few questions you have become too philosophical πŸ™‚

thanks for tagging me… will do this for sure πŸ™‚

    1. Rajesh K

You picked up the tag now and completed it immediately! Batman is always fast I guess πŸ™‚
