Wind Turbine @ RRB Energy & New blog look

Wind-turbine-rrb-energy

This is the photo of a wind-turbine outside RRB Energy factory at Chennai. I took the picture on the way to Kanchipuram (Chennai-Bangalore highway).

I have also changed the theme of my blog. Now I have installed the Twenty Twelve (2012) theme from WordPress. Earlier, I was using the Twenty Ten (2010) theme and I loved it. I had it for more than two years. I loved the earlier header image, too.

This Sunday, we went to Elphinstone bridge in Adyar, Chennai. This runs parallel to the (newer) Thiru-vi-ka bridge that connects Mandavali and Adyar, but was actually constructed during 1840. More info/pics about the bridge will follow shortly.

My new blog-header image (which you see now) was clicked by me during this visit. Howwwzzziiiiiiittttttttttttttttt???? 🙂

The theme photograph is good. Looks like symbol for infinity.

Oh yeah, I didn’t notice that. It’s good if people are able to imagine an infinity through that pic 🙂

What is interesting about the picture, is that, I think I have seen that wind turbine when I was last in India in December 2012. When you mentioned the highway I brings back vivid memories of it.

The theme of your blog is good and so was the previous one. This one looks and feels more modern and simple – which I guess would be the idea of upgrading.

    1. Rajesh K

Yes, once I decided to upgrade I wanted to keep the the theme modern and simple (without cluttering my sidebar). But the reason why I upgraded was, the older theme was breaking while someone landed from the search engine. The sidebar was appearing below the post! I sometimes search for my own blog/posts in the SE’s – That’s how I found this error 🙂

The new blog look is good with a header photo of your own creation. Kinda gives the personal touch!

The header image is really beautiful! The page is simple and clear. I must do this one day! Mine is full of pictures!

The windmill picture also is beautiful!

Yes, my site had a cluttered interface (in the sidebar) earlier. When I was changing the theme, I was determined to un-clutter the site. Thanks for your comment 🙂

I also tried this theme..but didnt went well…so i went on with the present one. The header image looks calm. I think its because of the laid back color tones.

    1. Rajesh K

Yes, the colour tones automatically get applied depending on the time I take the pics! If any pic taken by me is good, it’s pure luck!!

the pic in the header is amazing .. even in the backdrop ..liked this theme as well .. the best from wp collection, isn’t it…?

    1. Rajesh K

The theme is provided by WordPress itself, like the previous theme I had on this site. They seem to get the typography and many other visual cues perfect and hence I am sticking with their Twenty xxx themes. I am not sure if this is the best/most popular, but it’s definitely good…
