My Guest Posts on Tourism to India!!

Since I self-published my eBook, ‘Happiness Guide For Tourists Visiting India: 50 Exciting Things To Do’, I am in charge of the marketing campaign of the book as well!! Writing a book is one thing, but reaching it to the right people at the right time is another thing altogether.

My ‘Plan A’ is to write guest posts in other blogs on some Indian Tourism related topics.

Here are three guest posts I have written recently. If any of the topics interest you, you can go ahead and read them –

Marriage Tourism:Β Marriage Tourism is a new and an upcoming concept where people fly to some exotic locations with their close friends/family and get married there. Don’t get shocked yet! Read more…

Medical Tourism:Β Is medical tourism about visiting a tourist place while also getting treated (for some ailment) there? Read more…

Film Tourism:Β Have you ever wanted to visit a place because it was featured in some famous/memorable movie scene or song? Read more…

Don’t ask me what my ‘Plan B’ is, because there is no Plan B, yet πŸ™‚ You can give me some marketing suggestions in the comments section below, if you’d like to.

Hmmm… Guest posts are now an oft-used method for promotions. Need to come up with some better/unique idea! πŸ™‚

I read your posts. Interesting. However, the key is money. Lot of money. Otherwise, these ideas won’t work. Last year, a Tamil girl in California decided to get married in Hawaii. Hawaii is very costly. Everything has to be imported from the mainland. Who paid for the whole marriage function? Her parents. At least, that is ok. It is somewhat considered “obligation” of a Tamil parent. But how about guests? A small number of guests and relatives paid their own way to Hawaii and the hotel charges. We also attended. It was nearer to the Thanksgiving holidays. Therefore, the airline and hotel charges were extremely high. We paid an arm and a leg.

The idea of marriage tourism will work, if the organizers sponsor the travel and stay for guests. Otherwise the guests may not have special memories of the event and the very purpose of marriage tourism (to make it special) will be lost!

Believe me or not, I am a typical 3rd category – Film Traveller, I guess. I chase down the miniscule things that I am attracted to in a movie location, and make sure that I see that place. Like, I visited Malta after watching Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya. That apart, keep up the good work on writing more guest posts.

I know you are an avid traveler, but didn’t know that you are also an avid movie-watcher! Malta yenga irrukku nu naan world map-la ippo pakka porein πŸ™‚

I think writing guest posts is the best way to promote your book. Write some in popular travel sites too.. I read your book about 40% and it is really good for foreigners visiting India. Still need to complete the book.. life got little hectic these days..
    Good luck DI πŸ™‚

Yes, I am trying to find some international sites where they accept guest posts… Do let me know if you know any… No problem, read that book in leisure πŸ™‚
