Incredible India: Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh
The Khajuraho Group of Monuments/Temples are located in Madhya Pradesh, Western/Central India. Built by Chandela Rajputs between 950 & 1150 CE, Khajuraho contains a group of Hindu & Jain Temples, popular for its architecture and erotic sculptures (10%). This is a UNESCO world heritage monument. There were originally 85 Temples, but only 25 survive today. These Temples were made using sandstone (without mortar) that were kept together by gravity.
