I went to the Travel & Tourism Fair 2015 held recently at the Chennai Trade Center, Chennai, India. Many state & a few country tourism boards (along with travel operators, resort owners, etc.) had put up stalls to woo tourists from here to their respective states/countries. Here are a few interesting stalls I found at this venue –

Odisha:

Himachal Pradesh:

    I loved the Kerala stall.
    Looks beautiful and inviting.
Sadly no stall from Telangana or Hyderabad 🙁

I think, overall, Kerala did the best job of awing and inviting tourists. The people of their stalls were also helpful and gave out interesting info. I’ll try to follow up with Ten best properties/villas I found in this expo.

Yes, the Odisha stall has been conceptualized well, but overall I found Kerala stall (and people who explained) to be better.

    Kerala looks brilliant…
    Thanks for sharing!

Yes, I too felt Kerala’s stall was the best. The state tourism board of Kerala seems to be determined to promote tourism.

where’s the stall from punjab.. but then they have nothing to show other than the influx of DRUGS and ALCOHOL these days ..

    lovely pics DI

I am sure many attractions, including the Golden Temple, are there in Punjab. Every state has its negative points, like positive ones. Besides, many states didn’t advertise here, only those active on the tourist circuits did.

yeah there are Rajesh sir, But the way things are in punjab I doubt if it will be able to come out of it again ..

I’ve been to a few places there but still Himachal Pradesh stands as a favourite. And then New Zealand. A friend went there recently and the pics were wow!

I want to go to Kerala. They promoted the destination quite well, in the fair. I think, if I had been working in the IT sector, I’d have enough money to go to New Zealand 😛
