How to be Confident & Positive During a Crisis
Crisis situations, like the current pandemic, can occur anytime. While we try our best to take all precautions and stay away from them, sometimes they are not under our direct control.
But what is under our direct control is how we react to crisis.
It’s normal to feel stressed and over-react to the crisis. But it’s important to recover from that state quickly, realize that stress is only going to make things worse, and quickly readjust our mindset and response.
Generally, taking a small break will do the trick. If not, it’s a good idea to use the technique of positive visualization, as brilliantly suggested in the movie, The Secret.
Positive visualization is a process of envisioning a favorable outcome and believing that you have already achieved that outcome. When you do that repeatedly, you start believing it and the universe will conspire to make it true!
I know this feels strange or impossible, but you need to trust in the process.
This kind of visualization is what is used in religion as well. You pray for what you want and believe that God will grant your wish. When you keep praying, there is a good chance that it will happen.
Try it.
