“You Frozen Frog, do something”
Generally, I don’t laugh at abusive language. But the creativity in this line made me laugh spontaneously!
“In the recent Tamil movie ‘Sarpatta Parambarai‘ an Anglo-Indian wife uses these words to ‘push’ her (otherwise calm) husband to *act* in order to bring a conflict in their neighborhood to a stop.
This is what she says,
“You frozen frog… Do something”
He was standing quietly in a corner instead of resolving the conflict. The wife tries to but fails. She then sees her inactive husband, gets enraged, and spurs him into action with these (for me) Legendary Words!
You should see the movie to get the exact tone and context in which she mentions it – she is pretty much consistent with that tone throughout the movie 🙂
Directed by PA Ranjit, Sarpattai Parambarai is a good movie about a historical boxing competition in Madras. It is longer than required, otherwise, it’s a fine movie. It’s there on Amazon Prime. Don’t miss if you value quality over entertainment 🙂

Thanks. Seems to be a nice movie.
However I have Netflix in mobile. Any suggestions for Netflix in Tamil?
I watch horror movies in Netflix.
I have not subscribed to Netflix yet… If you have Jio or Airtel SIM card, you can also watch movies from jiocinema.com or airtelxtreme.com… There are some good English and other language movies dubbed into Tamil on Youtube too… check them out!

Looks like an interesting movie! I have Prime. So, shortlist this one to watch one day.
Ya. I suggest watching until intermission on one day, and the rest on the next. It’s a heavy movie to watch it in a single go, but definitely worth watching.

Thanks for the good recommendation. I will watch it. Generally, the problem with Tamil movies are they spoil the tempo with 8 songs, unnecessary fights, and comedy scenes that have nothing to do with the story,
Ya, but there are exceptions. This is one.

One of the best movies this year! Pa.Ranjit should stick to this type of movies that give him creative freedom than doing Rajini flicks..
LOL. Yeah 🙂

I recollect that scene and the tone now, and I think, daddy (her husband) was leaning on something and watch the show. I agree with you that the movie is an experience of the past.
Yes, that’s the scene. It’s easy to miss it since there are so many other more important scenes, but somehow this scene stuck with me!

By the way, which is your favorite Harris Jayaraj song?
Mine is Nenjukkule Peidhidum.
Vaseegara from Minnale, of course! 🙂
