Incredible India: Bishnupur Temples, West Bengal
Bishnupur Temples, Bankur District, West Bengal, East India are a cluster/group of Temples built by Malla rulers in 17th Century (and later). These Temples are unique in their architectural style and they were built using clay-bricks and Terracota tiles made from laterite stones. All these Temples used curved roofs instead of straight ones and had extensive engravings and Terracota sculptures on walls, reliefs, etc., mostly portraying scenes from Ramayana & Mahabharata.
