Mandu Group of Monuments, Madhya Pradesh, West/Central India. Mandu/Mandavgad contains a group of monuments that are the remnants of a ruined city. Mandu was a fortified city even in 6 BCE and was the capital of many Kingdoms/dynasties. Mandu contains both natural defenses and man-made fortifications (incl. 37 KM wall and 12 gates) all along the outer boundary.
