My Dream Bike – TVS Zeppelin

A Cruiser Bike? From TVS?

I currently have Bajaj Avenger 150 and it too is supposed to be a ‘Cruiser’. It does ‘cruise’ comfortably for 30-40 KM, which is slightly better than the TVS Star City I had earlier.

Frankly, we don’t buy cruisers at this price point to travel Inter-City or anything. The best we can hope is to go to ECR and be back without getting tired. (40+40 KM.)

We buy cruisers because they are shortish+long, designed well, and look different from other bikes. The TVS Zeppelin from TVS definitely scores well on the ‘looks’ department 🙂

The best bike I owned till now is TVS Victor. It was smooth, silent, and purple (my fav. color). Those days I used to travel 50+ KM a day without much of a strain – thanks to Victor.

As you can see, I am no stranger to TVS bikes. Except for their tires, they make everything else well 😉

Although the concept bike was showcased in the 2018 Auto Expo, the 220cc belt-drive, fingerprint start, dashcam, e-boost, futuristic design TVS Zeppelin is scheduled to launch only in Oct. or Nov. 2020. It may get postponed due to the current pandemic situation.

No problem. I hope they’ll launch it within the first half of next year. I too need that time to save up the required 1.4/1.5L on-road price.

Don’t drop the plans of making this bike, TVS. At least keep it in production until 100 people buy it. I am sure to be one of the first hundred. After that you can stop it if you want – it’s a great privilege to exclusively drive a rarely-found fantastically-designed bike 🙂

PS: Now there are so many, but initially, many people would stop to ask about my Bajaj Avenger 150 Street. I used to feel like I own a Rolls Royce 😉

This looks cool. I have a question. What is a cruiser bike? Does it have a cruise control button like in automobiles?

Cruiser bikes are built for long-distance rides. They are longer and have a more upright sitting position unlike the forward-bent position in sports bikes.

That looks powerful to drive and hope the bike is out for sale on your behalf 🙂
